Vgames collection
Re: Vgames collection
So here’s something that I find pretty interesting. These seedlings grew on my front porch. I believe they are from this notocactus that lives about 7 feet away.

Re: Vgames collection
Nice plants and wintering pictures. And Yes: seeds are intended to spread cacti in the yard and beyond...
If your cacti mess in your job just forget about the job.

Re: Vgames collection
Finally seems like the growing season is starting. Going to give them their first real watering this weekend.

Re: Vgames collection
These Pilosocereus definitely have one of my favorite flowers. The depth inside the flower and they smell like sweet nectar

Bottom picture is of Echinocereus russanthus? I like that colour a lot.
Re: Vgames collection
Here’s some from today. Seems like they all liked the cold wet winter we had here in Southern California

Re: Vgames collection
Nice pictures
I guess that drooping Turbinicarpus in the first picture is T. booleanus. I'm curious if the large one with brown epidermis in the last picture is T. bonatzii? It looks pretty old (I'd guess at least 20 years).
Best regards,
Nino

Re: Vgames collection
That first one you mentioned is Turbinicarpus or Gymnocactus Subterraneus and the second one you mentioned I’m not sure.. in my early growing years I wrote the labels with pen and before I knew it, the names faded. Either way, it seems the last two growing seasons it’s been growing good.
Re: Vgames collection
Thanks for the answer. I think subterraneus and booleanus are synonyms; accepted name (at least in Llifle Database) is Turbinicarpus mandragora ssp. booleanus.
Re: Vgames collection
Ok thank you I always thought they very different but makes sense. I have some booleanus and subterrraneus seedlings and they seem to be different but probably different localities or one might be zaragosae. Hopefully by the end of summer they will be a little bigger and be able to tell
