can i graft here

Post by briancarpenter »

This is one of my last periskisopsis that I wanted to graft on and it went weird. Is it ok to graft in location 1? It is still early summer here so.
I didn't know if location 2 would be better since it had more leaves on it..

Yes, location 1 is ok to graft but then you have to cut in location 2 anyway. Just correct: location 1 should be side shoot of new growth, lower then arrow on your photo. Or you can graft in location 3 - it's top of the shoot higher then location 2, new soft growth on root-stock is preferred to graft.
