Post by Shane »

That's one way to get your plant to flower

Funny enough, there were some genuine flowers growing on it too

Fishhook cacti are like cats, they only like to be petted in one direction

It's a rose, isn't it?
If your cacti mess in your job just forget about the job.

Euphorbia don't have full flowers. They have dioecious cyathia which are single-sexed, greatly reduced remnants of flowers. They appear to have lost most floral anatomy millions of years ago based upon the numbers of species (all of them) that share this feature. In that way they can be said to be flowering plants (Angiosperms) that no longer have flowers. The part most people call flowers vis-a-vis Poinsettias are actually bracts. It's a pretty cool distinction if nothing else.
