Mold, algae, or fungus on my seeds?
Mold, algae, or fungus on my seeds?
I can't tell what this green fuzzy stuff is! It seems to be growing on the outside of the seeds, and it's been in there for around a 2 weeks now. Doesn't seem to be harming the little cacti (at least not yet) anyone know what this green fluff is?

Re: Mold, algae, or fungus on my seeds?
Green stuff is most likely algae. If bodies of the seedlings are not covered with that no harm would be expected. After uncovering and drying up of the soil these will be gone. But the occurrence of them means your setting is not sterile and other nasty stuff like fungi can be expected.
If your cacti mess in your job just forget about the job.

I sterilized all of the soil and containers before I planted, and it's only this one pot that seems to be bothered by anything.7george wrote: ↑Tue Jul 30, 2019 9:36 pm Green stuff is most likely algae. I'm already a month into the process so I'm hoping that I can tough it out until at least 3 months before removing them from the humidity. Fingers crossed!

They’ll be fine for a couple more months. Soil might look ugly then but shouldn’t hurt them
