The new rainbow cactus

Post by ElieEstephane »

When the normal rainbow cactus becomes too mainstream, this new one comes into play. Enjoy

Is the spine spray-painted?

Evidently customers got bored with the allover colours, therefore we now have segmental colouring and even stripes. Face it, gimmicks sell to the casual buyer and they usually finish in the bin before too long anyway. They are the cactus equivalent of cut flowers to be discarded after a week or two when the novelty wears off.

However individual segment treatment must push up the cost? Do they paint it on with a brush or spray it on masking certain parts?

Interesting to find out how they do this. The Spins are colored but the body is not.
