I can't take credit that I recognized the genus of your plant. All I knew was that it is a Mesemb. I have a great book on Mesembs and flipped through the section that contains genera similar to yours. From what I've read on the Internet, Ebracteola may be your plant. I saw sources for it.

It's almost unbelievable how this bud grows into a flower, 5+ cm for several hours here.
Photos from today, Discocactus (zehntneri ssp.) boomianus.

Oh, no, I missed the complete opening of the puna bonniae shown in the last post - was going to get it when it was all the way open. What a shame! At least I took photos when I did. So glad.
