My wife loves cactus plants, she knows nothing about them but we have a lot of them and they seem to be doing very well, in fact too well!
She has a plant, what sort i don`t know is growing very tall it is about 1.5 metre tall and about 80- mm circumference. There are two other of them same growing from the same plant, but a little smaller.
Can i cut the top of it to stop it growing any taller as you would on other garden plants, or would this kill it?
It is in a sheltered spot so does not get any direct sunshine.
Any help ??

Re: can i prune a cactus
Yes.
You can cut it in half. Let the cut piece callus over and root it.
Probably an offshoot will grow from the remaining stem.
