The story of my little blue Agave

Post by Newton »

How my little blue Agave has grown over the years from being one single specimen to filling a pot then a bigger pot and now into the ground.
In the ground I can see allready in two weeks it has changed its growth habit.
I hope it survives here as it's going to be in the full sun. In unamended border soil that occasionally gets the most of the rainwater run off gathering here as its the lowest part of the garden
Fingers crossed but it's a fighter

Very nice Agave. In your climat you can plant all in the garden.
You have unusual sago palm, probably not revoluta, is it circinalis?

Thanks I dont know its name it was planted around 7 years ago and sold to me as a juvenile ari or dune palm in localised name. At the same time I planted a cardboard palm sold as Zambia palm. This didnt do so well in the pot so I've planted it into the ground this month.

I also have planted two juvenile sago palms next to the little blue agave.

I'm not planting up my toddler grandson even though he has a much frustrating fascination with picking up the mulch stones and throwing them on and around the cactus
