Colorado National Monument

Post by Shane »

Here's another installment of my cactus habitat pictures. This time, here are some from Colorado National Monument, Colorado. I visited in 2015 when I wasn't really into cacti yet. I was pretty impressed by the fields of Opuntia blooms though, and I think seeing this contributed to me later becoming interested in cacti. Unfortunately, these pictures were taken by a pretty old (even by 2015 standards) phone, so the quality is low. But still worth sharing I think. If you're ever in Western Colorado, Colorado NM is definitely worth a stop

Fishhook cacti are like cats, they only like to be petted in one direction

Thanks for sharing these pics with us all Shane, what fantastic landscape, nice flowers, I love the pic with the lizard too. Way different to good old British landscape.
