Whats happening with my Jade plant?

Post by Davidzzy »

Hello there. I have a Jade plant suculent. Leafs looks a bit strange. I keep it on the roof of my house. Does it look like sunburns, underwatered or overwatered?

It looks like the plant hasn't been able to take up water, so the leaves are drying out.

This can be due to :
1. Underwatering
2. The roots have died, possibly due to overwatering.

My bet is (2).
Succulents should be in free draining compost, with lots of grit, pumice etc., in a container with a drain hole so excess water can drain away.

Without knowing where in the world you live, it's had to comment on growing things on the roof of your house.
