Gorgeous flowers through the whole thread Keith. Really like the mini shade houses you've got for them. Looks sharp.

Another very small growing cactus from Mexico Mammillaria Roseocentra or Mammillaria magallanii 'roseocentra . Easy germination from seed and then progressively more rot prone as they get older. I use mineral soil for these and most of my other Mexican miniatures. Dry in winter they are cold tolerant.

Mammillaria sanchez-mejoradae another small Mexican Mammillaria also rot prone but different from Mammillaria Roseocentra in the way it sets seeds which is deep inside the body of the plant . Last seeds I got which I used to germinate these guys came from the dead body of a older plant.

Mineral soil careful watering , dry in winter and fingers crossed when transplanting the small 3-4 year old seedlings.

Mammillaria coahuilensis another small early in the year flowering Mexican minature. Also rot prone and needs a deep pot it grows a very large root.
I had larger ones that didn't like being transplanted and rotted very slowly.
Maybe a little less sun than some other Mammillarias that have denser spines. Dry in Winter and careful water in Summer. They germinate pretty easily from seeds. Nice red fruits in late Summer if they are pollinated.

Keith, how cold can your Mammillaria see over winter? Obviously if bone dry. How about sun in winter-needed?

Hi Jerry, not sure it rarely freezes here but humidity is higher than the desert. Sun in Winter is very helpful even if its cold out .

Mammillaria meiacantha can survive below freezing . Some other northern Chihuahuan desert mammillaria can probably survive below freezing temperatures.
