Given cuttings, unsure how to proceed. New!

Post by Arozora »

Hi all,

First time trying to propagate from cuttings. Friend gave me some that were knocked off her large plant. Had been sitting in the sun for a bit, not sure how long. Will these work to propagate? Any advice on the best way to go about it?

Live in Arizona, have a few other growing in the back yard already. Currently plan is to plant these 2-3 inches, after letting them sit out for about a week, but I honestly have no idea what I'm doing.

Arizona this time of year I would place them where they would get partial shade to shade after 10:00am in pots in well draining soil and just cover the cut end. Water once a week, may be more or less, and they should do fine. I would transplant to permeant location in fall or spring.
