Agave attenuata with white leaves

Hi all,

My agave attenuata Is developing big whitish areas on most of the leaves. What may be causing it?
The plant is potted and placed in a semi-shaded area.

Sun burn in my opinion
Location : Sri Lanka, tropical climate, no winters. :hello2:
