Hello All,

My name is Thomas Jay, and I come to you from southwestern Missouri (specifically the city of Joplin), USA. Though I've primarily worked with animals in a professional sense, I've had a fascination with plants from an early age. I blame this on my paternal grandfather, who had an obsession with Viola species of the Midwest and would often take me on outings to locate them in situ, and my mother's sister, who would look after me during the summer months and put me to work tending plants in her greenhouse. My primary interests regarding plants are cacti and succulents (of course, that's why I'm here) and ferns.

My small, but growing, collection of cacti and succulents are as follows.

Cacti:
Copiapoa coquimbana
Copiapoa esmeraldana
Copiapoa humilis subsp. tenuissima
Copiapoa marginata
Ferocactus wislizeni
Mammillaria elegans
Myrtillocactus geometrizans
Opuntia cespitosa
Opuntia quimilo
Stenocereus pruinosus

Succulents:
Adenia glauca
Adenia volkensii
Agave parryi var. huachucensis
Aloe ferox
Aloe striata
Aloinopsis schooneesii
Caputia scaposa
Crassula ovata
Delosperma cooperi
Euphorbia tirucalli
Haworthiopsis attenuata var. radula
Haworthiopsis attenuata X reinwardtii
Haworthiopsis limifolia var. Limifolia
Hoodia parviflora
Hoya kerrii
Hoya pubicalyx
Huernia zebrina
Kalanchoe sexangularis
Ledebouria socialis
Pachypodium brevicaule
Pachypodium namaquanum
Stangeria eriopus
Stapelia gigantea
Stapelia leendertziae
Stapelia schinzii

I look forward to discussing these amazing plants with the members of this forum, and learning more about their cultivation.
