suggestions for cacti placement in garden

I forget the name of this particular cactus but I see them growing and thriving here in the Coachella Valley in Southern California. I'd like to place it about four feet from a south facing wall. Currently I have several aloes growing here with supplemental drip irrigation. Does this sound like a good place for this species? It will be about two feet from the nearest irrigation head....
