Might be...Opuntia fragilis var. denuda. Brittle Prickly pear, potato cactus. Rookie guess.

Is that the whole plant? A full picture of it would help since from the hollows in the top they look like fruit. Do all the "stems" have the same hollow in the top? Some cacti like the Chain Cholla grow flowers repeatedly on the end of the previous seasons fruits and the fruits do not drop off. However these fruit clumps can often be taken off and rooted as a pot plant.

Yeah...it sure looks more like Chain Cholla fruit than what I guessed at.

yes this is the entire plant
so you said they are all fruits that rooted?
they will grow the original plant at the top?!?
