Is there anyone selling seed grown copiapoa
columna alba? or selling columna alba seeds? I would really like to grow my copiapoa cinerea collection so one day when they flower I can get my own seed and seedlings. Eventually I would like to be able to get seeds and seedlings to others. Is there anyone on the site who sells or trades Copiapoa Columna Alba or other Copiapoa Cinerea Cultivars? Most of the seed I find is from Russia and other coutries in Europe. I have purchased seed from some of these places but would love to support the people growing on this site.

Is there any reason you are particularly after seed grown copiapoa? Even copiapoa offsets would eventually grow to flowering age and produce seed.
Never argue with fools. They will drag you down to their level and beat you with experience...

Have you tried your online dealers lists? CITES would be a problem importing plants across borders, even cultivated ones, but seed should be OK internationally.

Or some of the international seedsmen's online lists?

Copiapoa cinerea types have become super expensive on Ebay for whatever reason. Actually all cactus have but especially Copiapos.
I don't have any they are cool my last one a cinerea ( cost 8 bucks) dies in a tragic soil mistake ( too much pumice ) along with many other cactus.

You're welcome ! I thought you might be so I tossed that your way for grins. At day one it was only five bucks....whaaat!!....almost jumped on it to run it up a bit to proper pricing.
Ha ha, didn't need to do that. Next day it was $355.00. That's more like it ! Now it's what $400.00...geeez. Too much for me.

Yeah that is too much, plus it doesn't have many characteristics in a cinerea that I find interesting. You can find some good priced ones if you check pretty often.

The problem outside habitat unless your climate is suitable most of us cannot get Copiapoa's of the C. cinerea type to produce the white waxy farina that makes them so desirable, they just stay greenish with us.
I cannot find my pictures of C. columna-alba in habitat at the moment but, I posted them in my BCSS Travelogue here if you scroll down.

Why would you pay so much for one plant?EliWhitney3140 wrote: ↑Sun Mar 21, 2021 10:15 pm here is an affordable cinerea, at the time being anyways.

Get them from Europe. A plant like this for 10 euros. Even with postage and the risk of customs taking it, it will be cheaper.
Have a look at one of the Czech seller that also visits the ELK (the biggest European succulent plant fair in Belgium) every year: http://www.rarecacti.com/. There are more Czech sellers out there with a lot of interesting plants.
