Need help identifying!

Post by Mtmarymac »

Hello! I recently picked up this plant at a greenhouse with no name! It seems to be a succulent. Under the leaves can have a purple tint sometimes. I’m thinking it is a Senecio? It has a shape like a lot of the ones I’ve seen, but the leaves are flat. I saw a post about a “ Kalanchoe x kewensis “ and that seems close. Any help is appreciated! Thank you!

Looks to me like you were right with Senecio. Senecio articulatus, now renamed as Kleinia articulata because there were just too many species of Senecio. There are still too many species of Senecio but there are less than there were. Some other botanist renamed it as Baculellum articulatum but they haven't yet had the bare-knuckle fight that decides whose name has priority. Pick your favourite for labelling.

It looks healthy. :D
