Suppressing Pereskiopsis offsets with synthetic auxins?
Could synthetic auxin be used to suppress offsetting in Pereskiopsis stocks? Synthetic auxins like 2,4-d are sold as selective broadleaf herbicides, so they're not hard to find. Could it be used as a foliar spray to suppress offsetting until the scion gets big enough to produce enough auxin to suppress the lateral growth points? And what concentration would you suggest?
