Waiting to root

Oreocereus trollii had root rot. I cut the rot off, dried and calloused. Replanted in dry soil about 2 weeks ago. Kept out of direct sunlight. Should I move it into the sun now and how long before you think it will start throwing roots?

This guy is well protected from the sun so can be held in brighter light. Rooting can take months so just check that from time to time. Spraying over and lite soil moisturising can help.
If your cacti mess in your job just forget about the job.
