I've looked at the variations on Christmas, Easter and Thanksgiving cactus, but nieher seem to match mine.

The brown stem seen in the pic, does it belong to the green segments? I would have guessed some sort of Euphorbia. :)

If the spines do not spring from areoles it is not a cactus. As Mrs Green says it looks like a Euphorbia.
