Help with possible cereus ID

Post by WAM »

I’m relatively new to keeping cacti and rescued this plant from a nursery in Tampa, Fl. It appears to be over watered and in a pot that is too large. I intend to re-pot but would like to ID it first, so I have a better idea of what size pot, soil type, etc. before I make any changes. I have been researching for 2 days, and think it could be one of the numerous cereus species but have my doubts because it only has 4 fins. I believe most cereus have at least 5 or fins with a few exceptions. Any help identifying this plant is greatly appreciated. Thank you

I think you are correct. I guess I need to wait for a bloom to possibly get confirmation. Thank you!
