help with Cereus

Post by billgo2 »

Please help with a Cereus cactus. I believe it is peruvianusis or repandus, but the spines are white or have a orange tint. It was gifted, so I do not know the age. The pot is 4" for reference. Thanks for your help.

It's some Lobivia, etiolated, grown in a lack of light, possibly hertrichiana.
Hope, you'll save it.
In good conditions it will easily flower so it will be possible to correct ID.

May be, but I have never seen it. The best answer is 2-3 years of right growing and opened flowers. I'd offer to plant some pups separately, sometimes they grow better right way than elder plants. MUCH sun, cold dry winter.
