What did I find at Lowes.
I promised my wife I would cut back buying cactus this year until I sell some of the duplicates. Well I stopped by Lowes and I could not pass up this beauty. The question is what is it?

The problem with top cuts is when they have produced a flowering zone and are rooted down they often simply grow through it until they reach their normal height for flowering again. However hopefully you will be lucky and it continue to produce hair and flowers.
The taller non hairy one looks like one of the blue bodied Pachycereus? Certainly a different species.

Re: What did I find at Lowes.
This Lowes had a dozen of these 12" pots all with 2 top cuts of the Pachycereus. All were stuck in a very organic mix. They also had a few dozen other 12" pots each containing 2 to 4 top cuts of other plants.
I'm feeling the flowering plant is some type of Pilosocereus. Any ideas? Maybe I'll get lucky and it will grow bottom up.
Thanks.

Hi Mike
The blue plant is Pilosocereus azureus which I think is a form or sub species of Pilosocereus pachycladus.
The green plant is more difficult to ID because Pilosocereus usually have the cephalium ( flowering zone ) down the side of the stem not at across the top like yours, the only green Pilosocereus which has the cephalium at the top I can think of is Pilosocereus lanuginosus and seeing P.lanuginosus does look like an Eulychnia which you plant does it may well be P. lanuginosus
Hope this helps.

Pilosocereus floccosus, Pilosocereus albisummus or P. leucocephalus.
If your cacti mess in your job just forget about the job.

Thanks 7George
Pilosocereus albisummus seems to fit the bill.
