could anyone help me with these guys

Post by cavalo_horse »

hello everyone, greetings from brazil! I have identified almost all of my cacti by now, looking at the topics here and at the llifle db. I'm still missing id of 8 plants, and I think I'll post them 2 by 2, starting with these.

the first one was collected near a beach at curaçao, in the caribbean, and has a blueish greyish color when in full sun.

the second one was gifted to me as a cut, with no roots at the time. at first I thought it would be a columnar cactus, but it didn't grew up.

none of them flowered yet. any ideas? thanks in advance.

The second one looks like Astrophytum myriostigma cv. "Kikko"

hi lucy! it really resembles a kikko but i don't think it actually is one, because it was given to me by a friend that was not a cacti enthusiast, i don't think he would have such a rare kind of cactus. but hey if it really is a kikko i will very happy!

anyways thank you very much for answering!

You are welcome! The columnar plant could be Cereus repandus, which is common in Curacao.

Second one looks like a small cutting of a Cereus peruvianus (or whatever it's called now)
