Hello, I have doubts with this Mammillaria

Post by arturo conan »

it is the same in different states.
I have doubts between Mammillaria haageana ssp. san-angelensis or Mammillaria albilanata ssp. Oaxacan
OR None of the above.
THANK YOU

Why do you believe it to be those specific subspecies?

Mammillaria haageana, no subspecies.

I have put s.angelis because it seemed more like me.
In any case, in other forums they dismiss them as haageana, I don't know what they are based on, maybe because they don't have so many basal shoots.
On what basis do you consider it Haagean and not other species such as http://www.llifle.com/Encyclopedia/CACT ... ._oaxacana

M. albilanata is rather similar, but has much more wool in the axils than haageana, about which Llifle says "Axil: Slightly woolly only on new growth, later naked."
