Hey all,
I have this lovely echinofossulocactus that flowered just now. And I'm still having hard time to ID it. I'm thinking lamelosus or phyllacanthus?
Any ideas appreciated

I don't think it's a E. phyllacanthus because those flowers are "yellowish white with brownish red throats" (Edward F. Anderson, The Cactus Family).
E. lamellosus (a.k.a. E. crispatus) is very variable. It's flowers are described as "...often borne in multiples from the stem tips, purple-violet, 2-4 cm long, with distinct floral tubes covered with imbricate scales, ...". Elisabeth Manke (Het Nieuwe Cactussenboek) mentions under it's description of E. crispatus there are examples of white flowers with purple mid-stripes.
