Hello. I have had this cactus for 2 years. Lots of new growth developing so the plant doesn't appear to be affected. Is it rust or a pest of some sort or something else entirely? I took a pic of the largest spot with a 30x jewelers loupe so you can see it better. The spots are very small and hard to see with a picture otherwise. Any help would be appreciated.
If it is rust how do I remove or get rid of it? I was thinking of treating with rubbing alcohol and getting the spots out with a tweezer. I dunno if thats a good idea because those little hairs might shoot off? I honestly don't know much about cacti....
Thank you all for taking time out of your day to help! I have posted to reddit and to Facebook plant group but no one knows!

Re: Small rust colored spots on bunny ear cactus
Hi
Leave it along. Removing it will cause scarring. Ugly Scarring. Keep an eye on the plant and if more appear, treat it for rust fungus.
