Columnar, Florida

My brother's neighbor in Florida gave him a sickly cactus that never flourished. My brother replanted it in his yard, and it just took off. It is unlike any of the scores of species that we have on our Arizona ranch. From his verbal descriptions, we were expecting an Argentine giant or cereus (he says it blooms white), but it's clearly neither of those. Here's two views.

Cereus repandus I think. Thought it could be Cereus hildmannianus.
