Question about spots on some of my cactuses

Post by 4d3d3d3 »

I have these spots on some of my plants and I'm wondering what they are. Virus? Fungus? I have these plants separate from my others. In the first picture you can see some aerial roots sprouting out of the plant, not sure if it's connected to the spots or if it's just due to high humidity.

Hi
I'll answer the aerial roots question. Water more. Simple remedy.

Sorry, I disagree. The plants don't look hungry at all, but very wellfed. More water might be dangerous.

To me, the spots look simply like normal, healthy cork, just at strange places -- on first sight.
On 2nd sight, I remember having lost a very similar cactus with similar spots.
Have the cacti had wounds that corked over?
Are you sure those protruding thingummies are air roots?

Quarantane is a very good idea.

I'm also at a loss.

...and still more cacti.
