A neat Columnar cactus cutting that a friend gave me
I forgot the name he gave it
The bud has abandoned development

We call it the Octopus Garden
Has these weird Cotton Ball Buds

The bristly areoles of the columnar cutting remind me of the flowering stems of Castellanosia caineana (formerly Browningia).
I am interested to see what others make of that Selenicereus since I have one that looks similar that I pinned down as S. pteranthus, but I was never sure.

The one with the cottonball buds truely seems to be a Selenicereus.
We just had that discussion about some Sel. & people told me to check out https://www.cactuspro.com/lecture/Britt ... 73.en.html. That wasn't easy, but it really helped.
