Mammilaria?

I think this is a Mammilaria of some sort. But what species ? Pot is about 6 cm.

. I am a bit curious about why it was given the name mammilaris? From my point of wiev, the tubercles arenโt more nipplelike than a whole lot of others in the same genus?

I think that Carl Linnaeus 1st named it
Cactus mammillaris. Haworth 1st created the genus. Then it was transferred to the new genus
Mammillaria by H. Karst. It is the type species in the genus.
