Hallo,
I got this lovely Aloe by my family as a cactus. Interesting, what the plant retailers all know!

Well, I know at least that it is an Aloe, but not which. It ist more grey than green, has loads of miniature hooks on the back of its leaves, rarely some on the inside (if then more or less in aline along the middle), the hooks are lighter green than the rest of the leaves. It seems to grow a stem and is about 25cm / 12in in diameter. The skin looks very soft, not as hard & tough as an A. ferox. The leaves are bendable.

Who has an idea?

It looks more like a Dyckia to me...

Thank you, Eduart. I have checked that out: My plant looks similar to Dyckia hebdingii or such. But the teeth of the Dyckias are much longer, not such short hooks. Their leaves are comparatively longer, and they don't have miniature hooks on the back and on the surface of their leaves.
So I don't think this is a Dyckia.

Besides I have checked the pot: They have to give a "plant passport" in the European Union with plant name, nursery etc. printed on the pot or on a label. They also claim it is an Aloe, but without naming the species.

The riddle is solved!
On the pot there is the plant passport with a number of the nursery.
A search in the internet found out the nursery.
They show pictures of the plants they sell, together with the botanical names.
On https://kwekerijstolk.nl/?attachment_id=135 I found A. arborescens.
A short check with Wikipedia & Llifle confirmed the name.

Oh gosh... Another future giant...
But she's a beauty. I am happy.
