Melocactus

Post by gillinger »

Can anyone help identify this Melocactus? I'm thinking it may be M. schatzlii or M. conoidus but it does look similar to quite a few others as well. Do I have to wait for a cephalium and flowers?

I had M. oreas on my list of possibles, which I believe is a synonym for bahiensis.
