How much time need it to bloom

Post by LogicShuvo »

I successfully graft a Echinopsis Oxygona bud on Pereskiopsis. I here that grafted cacti bloom early.
So my question is how much time need it to get Bloom?
And where i put this cacti, full sun or semi shade?
I live in a subtropical area.

Such echinopsis needs about 1 year for flowering grafted or on own roots no matter. It is used also itself as a good stock with strong roots so there's no need to graft, mb for experience only. Later plant will become very large and heavy for this thin stock. Flowering usually begins after relatively cool and dry winter rest.

Mine bloomed at ~ 5 cm diameter, so maybe next year. Semi-shade is maybe the best for this graft.
If your cacti mess in your job just forget about the job.

Great solution if your plant was in deep shade and not useful if it has full sun.

The thing is that we know less about this plant than his owner so we speculate and try to predict the case based on our experience...
