Spider mites? Or something else?

Post by mmcavall »

I have observed these lesions in some of my cacti .
It occurs only in Ferocactus and Matucana.
The increase of the lesions is very slow. If it is a fungus, it is not agressive. I believe that it is caused by spider mites but I cant find them.
Any help will be much appreciated
P.s. : I gave the plants a hot bath to kill any spider mites...

looks like something else to me . the raised bumps I don't think spider mites cause that I've never seen it just the orange scaring from spider mites.

I would try a fungicide plus look carefully for spider mites on other plants. they like turbinicarpus in my collection.

Thanks Keith
I'll take a closer look. What kind of fungicide would you use? A systemic one?
Thansk a lot!
