I have around 900 plants in most cactus genera in my greenhouse, therefore far too many to list. I don't grow any "Other Succulents". Our collections in the UK range from a few plants on a windowsill to the few larger collections with well over 1000 plants. The Continentals and E, European collections are similar sized I believe. I think with collectors you stop counting past a certain point and just guess how many you have. Rather like primitive tribal arithmetic that goes "1 to ten" and when you run out of fingers "many"!

So called "National Collections" in the UK are usually owned by registered amateur enthusiastic private individuals, seldom State or Public Institutions since those tend to be general collections for the public rather than comprehensive ultra-specialist botanical collections.

I think you have probably already realised you will have troubles compiling meaningful statistics on so many diverse members collections. You would probably have more luck compiling the average numbers of recognised species in a genus or with classification itself, but that would also vary according to which authority on classification you used. The two main classifications in use at present are David Hunts "New Cactus Lexicon" and Joel Lode's "Taxonomy of the Cactaceae". but these are expensive if you don't have library access to them.

Statistics:
currently 151 succulents of 117 genus.
The average age is 8 years, 10 months.
The "Methusalem" is a Pachypodium lamerei (succulent, not cactus) of 24.5 years.
The oldest "real cactus" is a Mammillaria karwinskiana nejapensis with 23.5 years.

hahahahaha...one has to admit, the impassioned cultivation of cacti is not the total aspiration of everyone. Perhaps he lost interest, or found a more reasonable topic.
