Dry rot?

Post by CosmicSerpent33 »

Unsure of Identification. A friend of mine said he had a cactus with something wrong with it that he didn't want. This is what I got.
It looks like dry rot to me, but what do you think?
Can it be saved?

It looks like it's gotten a fungal infection on top of dry rot or it got dry rot because of a fungal infection.

You could either treat it with a fungicide or make a cutting of it and dispose of that part with the black spots.

It seems that you have been harmed by red spiders. I suggest you spray it with fungicide, and then put it in the sun. Maybe we can recover.
