Is Turbinicarpus alonsoi self fertile?

I have a single plant of T. alonsoi and I have repeatedly collected seeds on it.
I would like to know whether the seeds are result of self pollination or the result of crossings with other Turbinicarpus species.
(So far the seeds didn't germinated but this can be due to several factors).
Thanks for any thoughts

I do not know why your single alonsoi could make seeds repeatedly.

I have around 20 flowering age alonsoies. They are in flower every year but they can not make any fruits without pollination by pollen of another alonsoi.
I think alonsoi is not self-fertile.

Thank you, Frank! I'll collect seeds from it again (I can see more fruits coming up) and see if they will germinate...I'll come back here to update.
Good to know that it is self-sterile, at least now I can search for the pollen donnor (putative male parent)
Thanks

I should add one more comment.

Turbinicarpus alonsoi can receive pollen of other species. I just experienced once.
Pollen supplier: Strombocactus disciformis
Pollen reciever: Turbinicarpus alonsoi

The germination rate of seeds was very good.
I grafted some seedings and degrafted when scions reached to the flowering age.
The body is similar to alonsoi but it is not same. Flower is also similar to alonsoi.

Thank you Frank for the information
I dont have Strobocactus so the pollen donnor must be another plant.

Here is a picture of the T. alonsoi with a new fruit coming up.
Seeds of the previous fruit resulted in zero germination.

Yes I can see a fruit on the photo. I hope seeds to germinate this time.

I am no sure why but spines of your alonsi thick and different from my alonsoi.
I attached a photo for your information.

Hi Frank
Thanks for the information.
This is my T. alonsoi with flower.
Is it an alonsoi, isn't it?

G'morning mmcavall,
This is my T. alonsoi with flower.
Is it an alonsoi, isn't it?
Yes Your cactus is a T. alonsoi.
My cactus is also a T. alonsoi.

I checked T. alonsoi on web-sites. Some of plants had similar spines with your alonsoi and some others had similar spines with my alonsoi.

Frank

I bought this Turbinicarpus alonsoi hybrid many years ago
It has white striped flowers

I've tried to figure out it's hybrid mate
I first thought T. lophophoroides, because of the fine spines and wool
then maybe T. jauernigii, because of the color and whatever
Could be crossed with Strombocactus, never thought of it

I know I got seeds by crossing it with other random Turbs., but never documented the successes
It does produce seeds every time when crossed with normal T. alonsoi

I had better photos, the lighting on this photo is really crappy

I will plant some of those seeds in spring to see what happens

Otherwise, the regular T. alonsoi in my collection never produce seed without me pollinating them together by hand
