Mammillaria species and ?Ferocactus

Post by dmcac »

Hello! This is my second batch of unknown cacti. I tried to id them but afraid that I will be way off the target. I would appreciate any thoughts on what species and genus these plants could be. Thanks! DM

1. It looks like Ferocactus hamatacanthus, but also a bit as Thelocactus setispinus. I lean towards the first name but maybe totally wrong in both.
2. Maybe Mammillaria spinosissima or M. pilcayensis.
3. Totally unsure, but maybe it is Mammillaria backebergiana.

The last 2 are very close, if not right.

I would label the 1st as Hamatocactus setispinus
