?Mammillaria geminispina

Hello! I bought this specimen without any identification. I think it is Mammillaria geminispina. I would appreciate any opinion on its identity. Thank you, DM

Mammillaria parkinsonii IMHO

Looks like a M. parkinsonii.
If your cacti mess in your job just forget about the job.

Thank you very much! Those are small pieces of perlite - just planted it.

I think you got the name right.

M. geminispina usually has only 2 central spines of variable length, and around 30 radials. The flower is typically red. The plant has an overall white appearance and is somewhat stubborn to bloom. It rarely branches dichotomously.

M. parkinsonii has 2-4 central spines, and 15-20 radials. The flower is usually cream colored, but it blooms freely. It's called owls eyes because it is frequently dichotomous.
