Wounded Lophophora williamsii

Post by kolana42 »

Hello,
About 2 weeks ago, our cat jumped up on the table where my little cactus resides and knocked it off on to the floor. Within the next day or so I noticed a spot that looked like a blister appear. It was very spongy and yellowish. So after reading through some posts here I tried a few thing such as dusting with fungicide and re-potting. Now the wound is firming up and I keep measuring the area to see if it is spreading (which it seems stabilized) but I'm still concerned and would appreciate any insight or advice. The rest of the cactus is very nice and healthy in feel and appearance. Here are some pictures. Please note: it lives under wide spectrum grow lights and does very well, but the lighting skews the pictures. I live in Colorado…. I’ve had great success with it for about 3 years. Now is protected from cat-tastophies. Thanks
