Corky scarring showing up on Pachanoi

Post by CosmicSerpent33 »

Hey everyone, hope you're all doing well
So I have a bit of an issue occurring with a handful of my cacti, specifically my Trichocereus Pachanoi.

These marks are firm, and slightly concave. It began with one pup months ago, and it's now appearing on the other cuttings pups, and a completely separate Pachanoi. I have about 230 cacti of many different genus and species and I have not noticed this issue on any other cacti except these Pachanoi. The only pest I have ever had to deal with is snails (It is very damp here in NZ) There appears to be no scarring on the base of the cuttings however..

Cutting #3 has only one scar and it has appeared within the past couple weeks.

It could be snails. Usually they leave behind a slimy trail. Did you take those pictures at a later moment? The damage seems already to be calloused over?
