Hi, everyone! My neighbor is moving and will be giving me several cacti. All of the cacti have been growing outside for several years in central California. From what I've been reading online, cactus 3 appears to be Trichocereus macrogonus var. macrogonus and cactus 4 appear to be Trichocereus macrogonus var. pachanoi. Cactus 1 and cactus 2 are mysteries to me. However, none of the cacti, to my amateur eye, seem to fit neatly in either category. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance.

Also, many random hybrids around, species in this group cross readily.

Thank you, I hadn't thought of that! What features in the pictured cacti point you in either direction? is there a cactus that has a lot of T bridgesii features?
Thanks for the info! I wasn't aware of they hybridized! Of the pictured cacti, do any stand out as likely hybrids? If so, of what two varieties?greenknight wrote: ↑Sun Oct 22, 2023 10:15 am Also, many random hybrids around, species in this group cross readily.
