Leuchtembergia question

Post by cactoman »

Have a large one of these that came to be broken off at ground level on its way home from the nursery. 2 questions:

1. Will it regrow from the taproot?
2. Will the large broken off top root?

Thanks.

Don't worry. They're very hardy, I've never lost them. If it just broken, heal surfaces with sulfur powder and let dry. Wait and watch, maybe base part hasn't lost it's point of growth and will regrow. Anyway if there're ever one alive areole it will regrow. Top / separated tubercules also wise to put in dry sand for rooting, it's also very possible.
