Pilosocereus

Post by dmcac »

Hello! On the first image is a cactus that had no id on it. I think it is Pilosocereus, but can't confidently guess the species. Maybe it is impossible while it is small. On the second image is my Pilosocereus pachycladus (that's what I think it is). I was wondering if the first Pilosocereus is also P. pachycladus... although there are some differences. I would greatly appreciate any opinion!

You are right, it is difficult to say at that age. P. pachycladus is possible, but I would also consider P. languinosus or P. glaucochrous.
