Help with degrafting with myrtillo stock

Post by cacthis »

I am thinking of degrafting my cacti that is grafted on myrtillo. All of the grafted cactus that I have are on hylocereus. I know that myrtillo is permanent stock but I just prefer non grafted look.

Anyone did this before? Is the vascular ring on myrtillo stock grows into the scion like in hylocereus?

G'morning cacthis,

No it is not. The joint union is very shallow in the scion when the grafting stock was a myrtilo.
