Welcome to you, Pat! I am pretty new as well on the Forum and this is an interesting place for all things cactus (and other succulents), especially if you wish to hone your knowledge or have burning questions. I know that if I had joined the Forum with my enquiries BEFORE deciding to tamper with my cactus, then my cactus would still be in one whole piece today... But this is the way it goes, those pesky mistakes are part of the learning curve.
Cactus amateur on a steep learning curve. Proud owner of a small collection of rustic cacti (Echinocereus, Opuntia), and other succulents (Aeonium, Agave, Aloe, Aptenia cordifolia, Crassula, Echeveria, Sedum...).
