A couple Epi-Cacti at home

Post by daiv »

Ok,
Well I've got pictures of my cacti on the site and on the My Garden page, but I thought I'd share this little set up that I've never posted before.

This first picture shows three species from left to right; Epiphyllum oxypetalum, Selenicereus chrysocardium, and Rhipsalis paradoxa. The long piece leading to the left on the S. chrysocardium is about 5 feet long.

This is a close up of the E. oxypetalum which I used to have hanging in a tree. Note the reddish color on the lower part. That is from being exposed to more sun. It seems this plant won't bloom without lots of sun. I'll probably have to move it next year to trigger blooming again.

All Cacti are succulents, but not all succulents are Cacti

Hi Daiv,

Nice pics of the plants Daiv, and nice pics of the Hacienda too.
