Good to hear ya got it repotted. Up till now I haven't said anything but common names for prickly pear can be confusing at times. So heres my question, is your PPP- O. macrohiza or O. polycantha since these both are commonly referred to as Planis Prickly Pear.

Hey Bill, a good question that has me wondering...
I had written down O. polycantha, simply because I thought it was the only scientific name for Plains Prickly Pear.

To make a long story short -I do have a picture of it, but cant access it right now.

As soon as possible I will post it & maybe you (or others) will be nice enough to ID it.

Are there any distinguishing features of the 2 types that would help me decide which it is? I'll find some pictures online of the 2 you mentioned in the meantime. Thanks, Mike Co
